New Class

Pilates (pih_lah_teez):

An exercise system that utilizes a series of floor exercises that increase strength, balance, flexibility, stamina, concentration and coordination.

What Pilates can do for you:

Ø   Improves body balance, prevents injuries and can alleviate chronic ailments.

Ø   It can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs.

Ø   Creates a long, lean, strong and supple physique.

Ø   A safe exercise for rehabilitation, i.e. hip / knee replacement, herniated discs, knee surgery.

Ø   No matter your age or physical condition, Pilates will keep your body balanced.

 

Schedule:Wednesday and Friday 4:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.

 

Fee:  Drop ins welcome at $15 per class

All classes in the month for $80 (at least a $5 / class savings)

Apparel:         Lose fitting yoga type clothing.

 

Equipment:         Pilate’s mats traditionally thicker, cushier than yoga mats but yoga mats will work.  Mats can usually be found at Target, T.J. Max, Marshalls as well as sporting goods stores.

Emil Paska

Emil Paska has exercise certifications from AFAA, IFTA.  He has completed Stott Pilates workshops for advanced mat work.

 

Participants have enjoyed Emil’s classes at Gold’s Palm Springs and Palm Desert, World Gym Desert Hot Springs, Wellspirit Fitness Center at the Spa Hotel and Knott’s Fitness Point.  He has also taught private and semi-private at a variety of communities and venues in the Palm Springs area.
