Belly Dancing - Beginners
Virginiah (Jesenya) starts with warm-ups and body isolations, slowly moving into coordination and choreography. You will have guidance through gorgeous bellydance moves that will be used in the workout. These are gentle, but will work your body to enhance your muscle tone, flexibility and fluidity and promote weight loss.
Hypnotic arms and undulations, circles, figure eights hipwork, steps, turns and shimmies will stir your body and soul in an exciting but low-impact bellydancing journey. You will be sweating and having the time of your life workout. You will also learn how to dance with the exotic veil!!!
Bellydancing is luscious. Classes feature gorgeous music and a beautiful flow, uniluted by conventional exercises. Each group of muscles is addressed to deliver a total body workout. It creates an entertaining and fulfilling dance experience.

I have always been a dancer, including dance, jazz, tap, and ballet, and then became very interested in teaching dance/fitness. As a result, I have been a professional Fitness Instructor certified through both AFAA and ACE for the past 26 years.As a teacher for most of my adult life, I love sharing the power of the body through jazz, tap, dance fusion fitness and pilates. I have also taught Yoga, Ballet stretch classes, sculpting, and step classes. Currently, I'm teaching belly dancing at the Palm Springs Healing Center.
My ULTIMATE LOVE is BELLYDANCING. I get the most pleasure from seeing my students learn the basics of bellydancing and actually start to "feel" the music and dance it. It's an incredible experience to become one with the music, and my greatest joy is to share that with my students and my clients through performances.
